All pumps in the AquascapeProTM line are specifically designed to support the demanding requirement for 24 hours/7 days a week operating condition of a water garden. These pumps will pump to 5 foot head or over.

Four factors that determine the size of the pump you will need:
1. The size of pipe is very important .
Pipe Diameter Max GPH
1.5 inch pipe............ 2,200
2 inch pipe.............. 4,800
Two 2 inch pipes......... 9,600
3 inch...................10,500
2. Another determining factor is the width of the water fall when it enters the pond. You will need 1500 - 2000 gph for each foot of width of water as it enters the pond or basin.
3. Elevation is the third number to consider. All Aquascape pumps will give you maximum pumping up to 5 foot head. Double click on the chart for higher elevation to get the GPH rate.
4. You want to turn over your pond once every hour. Formula for estimated gallons is: L x W x avg. depth x 7.48
